Welcome to Cultural Charisma

Thank you for visiting. Handwritten notes have always been special to me but add a handmade card and it’s extra special. We highlight afrocentric, ankara, and kente prints on greeting cards and encourage penning a personal note for all those special occasions you find yourself being a part of.

We get excited about cursive writing, calligraphy and stamps chosen for envelopes. We hope you will join us on this journey of encouraging writing, penmanship, and thoughtfulness.

As a 30 year stamp collector that appreciates the artistry of stamps, I try to capture that feeling in greeting cards and bookmarks. I have introduced others to the hobby of stamp collecting as a creative and therapeutic tool. I am an award-winning stamp exhibitor that tells stories through philatelic materials.

Cultural Charisma started as a Facebook group sharing cultural events and news. Telling our story begins with a vision for a future while honoring our past.

I believe that keeping the ability to write and having legible penmanship is essential for our generation, so I encourage a “personal penned note” in the cards.

Did you know – “There exist hundreds of different kinds of Kente patterns.[11] Kente patterns vary in complexity, with each pattern having a name or message by the weaver. Ghanaians choose kente cloths as much for their names as their colors and patterns…….Names are derived from several sources, including proverbs, historical events, important chiefs, queen mothers, and plants. The cloth symbolizes high value.Read more at the link below and see a sample print.

It is our pleasure to contribute a portion of our proceeds to the National Museum of African Americans on Stamps. As an avid collector for over 30 years, Charlene Blair, invites you to join her on the journey to bring greater awareness to the beautiful culture and contributions of so many deserving individuals.
